Description
Bi-State Wildlife Hotline is a nonprofit organization that runs a 24 Hour Hotline for wildlife issues. (Not unlike 911) After speaking with callers, we try to help them handle wildlife conflicts humanely, teach them what they need to know, and those callers are usually very happy. During the spring and summer months however, most of our calls are due to orphaned baby animals. We have to determine over the phone if this animal truly is orphaned or if it can be reunited with its Mom. If not, we take in those orphans and raise them until they are released. It makes for a crazy spring/summer each year, but we love it! We ALWAYS need help with taking hotline phone calls, and that can be done from your home. We also need help with animal care, rescue and pickup, and fundraising events. We only offer training ONE TIME per year for new volunteers, and that is usually in Feb or March of each year. You can always find out more about us by visiting us on Facebook or by checking out our volunteer page at www.wildlifehotline.com/vol
