Arcadia Hospice is looking for someone comfortable interacting with individuals and their families who are terminally ill or emotionally distraught. Someone who understands and accepts the hospice philosophy of care, demonstrates being dependable, cooperative, honest, empathetic, non-judgmental, an active listener, and willing to work under supervision. Has not had a significant life loss within the past year and is able to discuss prior losses, especially deaths of loved ones comfortably. Has access to dependable and readily available transportation and personal computer.

As a hospice volunteer, you are an essential part of our team at Arcadia, adding value to each life you touch. There are many ways you can contribute including; providing spiritual support, watch a movie together, help with light yard work, tidy up a room, walk or feed a pet, read a book, write a letter, or call to chat. In the world of COVID, unfortunately, our ability to connect with patients is often limited to phone calls; however, we feel connecting with patients is essential to their care and quality of life as a whole and look forward to adding caring individuals who are willing to help with hospice patient care.
