Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation presents our annual camp for children with cancer and their siblings: Camp Firefly. This is one of the most popular and effective ways in which children, ages 7 to 17, have the opportunity to experience summer fun in a medically supervised setting. Now more than ever this camp is vital for the emotional well being of these children who have experienced additional levels of isolation during the pandemic

Our camp volunteer program attracts a diverse group of individuals ranging in age and background. We are looking for high-energy, creative volunteers, with a desire to make a difference in the life of a child with cancer . We seek volunteers who are leaders, prepared to work hard, care for others, be responsible, build relationships with campers and other staff members, and have the best week of their lives! SOUND INTERESTING? WE HOPE SO!

Now for the fun and factual part of camp: In 2022 Camp Firefly will be held as day camps on site in Las Vegas. Volunteers are required to commit to the entire time frame of camp including training sessions. * Volunteers must be 20 years of age before they arrive to camp. * Background check required for all volunteers. *


AVAILABLE VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Counselors: Assigned to a cabin with 1-2 co-counselors, responsible for a cabin of campers the entire week. Support Staff: Assignments vary, assistance with activities, arts/crafts area, relieve counselors for breaks, general camp admin, setup and breakdown, and other fun camp duties!
