This volunteer will serve as a liaison between the Operating Room staff and the patient's family members, relaying information from holding, the operating room, and the recovery room.
Applicants should have:
* Excellent communication skills - personal, verbal & written, and a caring and sensitive manner/personality.
* Excellent guest relations skills
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
* Ability to work with other volunteers and employees as a team.
* Basic computer skills
* Ability to walk moderate distances.

Description
The Partners is Capital Region Medical Center's auxiliary. We provide volunteer support, assist with community outreach and provide financial support through fundraising. Our volunteers work in various areas around the hospital, greeting patients and visitors, transporting patients, working in the gift shop, and serving coffee in our coffee bar.
