Event Description:
Special Olympics Florida - Miami-Dade County will host Camp Shriver at Moore Park during Spring Break from Monday, June 5 - Friday, June 19. You can select from the various dates available.
This Summer Camp, Special Olympics Florida will offer children ages 8-14 with and without intellectual disabilities a day camp.
Volunteer Role: Volunteers are needed to support the Camp Staff. Campers will participate in sports activities such as Tennis, Swimming and more. They will also enjoy 2 field trips during the week, arts & crafts and more! Volunteers will work closely with campers to provide a fun and safe camp experience.

The ultimate goal of Special Olympics is to help persons with intellectual disabilities participate as productive and respected members of society at large, by offering them a fair opportunity to develop and demonstrate their skills and talents through sports training and competition, and by increasing the public’s awareness of their capabilities and needs.
