VITAS Healthcare is looking for a musician volunteer to play musical instruments and/or sing for a hospice patient living in their own home in the Berkeley area in North St. Louis County, (63134). Musician volunteers bring comfort and joy to hospice patients and their families.
Sometimes what a hospice patient needs most is a way to express feelings without talking. By playing or singing their favorite songs or hymns, VITAS music volunteers help patients and families reconnect with feelings and memories that can bring about a sense of peace and happiness. VITAS Healthcare provides comprehensive training, orientation and ongoing support for hospice volunteering. Flexible times are available for volunteering according to your schedule and daytime hours are preferred for visiting this particular patient.
