801E Men’s Shelter Game Night

We are looking for volunteers to participate at our 801E men’s shelter game night every 3 rd Tuesday of the month. Join us for a night of Bingo, chess, conversations, and community building. Volunteers help run the bingo and play with the residents to help promote a sense of community, levity, and aid the overall mental health of the residents through positive social interaction.

  • Next Game Night: Tuesday, February 18 th, 7:00PM (Still Available) - 9:00PM & Tuesday, April 21st, 7:00PM - 9:00PM (Still Available)
  • Location: 801E Men’s Shelter at 2700 Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE, Washington DC 20032
  • Group Size: 12 people or less
  • Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Volunteers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and bring a signed Parent-Guardian Waiver form.

Description

For more than 80 years, families, children and adults in need of help and hope have been able to turn to Catholic Charities to find comprehensive, caring and competent support. Last year our 63 programs working in 48 locations across the District of Columbia and the surrounding Maryland counties served more than 126,000 men, women and children of all economic, religious and social backgrounds.
