Executive Director Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans that meet organizational goals and objectives created in partnership with the Board of Directors
  • Recruit and develop a team of leaders to manage critical business functions
  • Ensure commitment to and compliance with all applicable operational guides, rules and regulations across the organization
  • Must make sure all the measures comply with organization standards and procedures
  • Create a culture of transparency and communication throughout the organization
  • Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners and government agencies
  • Proactively address challenges in the internal and external environment to protect the organization’s interests

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Managing and meeting financial / budget goals through grant writing and fundraising initiatives
  • Managing the ever-important relationship with communities
  • Serving as a liaison between the Executive Committee and Committees
