One hour per week of your time can make a difference to an older adult who can no longer drive. The Friends Caregiver Program offers transportation to homebound or isolated older adults through our volunteer driving program.
For many people the only thing preventing them from staying in their own homes is the inability to drive. Our volunteer drivers help older adults 60+ remain independent and connected to their community by providing essential rides to medical appointments and errands such as grocery shopping.
Our drivers can volunteer for as much or as little time as they wish. You will feel so rewarded when you see how grateful these folks are! The bonus is friendships and community connections are often formed through this volunteer opportunity.
