Are you an outgoing dog-and cat-lover with a desire to share stories? Are you ready to use your skills to change and save lives? If so, we have an awesome volunteer opportunity for you!

We are looking for spirited and confident volunteers to join our team as Tour Guides! These volunteers will share HEA’s story with groups of adults and children at our Green Bay Adoption Center.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all animal spaces are clean and ready for guests prior to tour
  • Sharing HEA’s mission and vision
  • Providing an "inside look" at how HEA’s adoption center runs
  • Teaching any curriculum set by HEA’s Community Outreach Specialist (for youth tours)
  • Leading attendees on tour and facilitating animal interactions

Requirements:

  • Upbeat and engaging personality with an excitement for animal welfare
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Comfortable working with cats and dogs
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time (~1 hour)

HEA will provide training, as needed, about the organization and any applicable curriculum. The time commitment for this opportunity will vary, but volunteers can expect approximately 1.5 hours per tour.

If you are interested in filling this role, please email Sarah Luna at sluna@heanokill.org . Please include a brief letter telling us about any applicable experience and/or why you’d be a great fit for this role.
