We are looking for several dependable volunteers to help with a variety of tasks based on Youth Services deadlines and programs. Volunteer opportunities will take place at both Library locations depending on current needs.

The Youth Services team at the Carrollton Public Libraries works with children, teens and their families throughout the year. Our goals are to foster a sense of community while instilling a love of reading, developing literacy skills, supporting school success, and providing opportunities for social interaction.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to, assisting with classes and programs for ages 0-17, including interacting with families and children, preparing materials, helping with set up and clean up for programs, taking program attendance, cleaning a variety of toys each week, and otherwise supporting the team. Other duties may be assigned.

Summer 2021 opportunities primarily include materials preparation and possible public interaction as needed for Summer Reading Program prize distribution. CDC recommendations and distancing requirements are followed.
