The Rhode Island Blood Center has collected, tested and distributed blood products to hospitals in RI and neighboring communities for over 40 years. In February, the organization will begin holding blood drives near Framingham. The Center is actively seeking volunteer drivers to go to blood drives in Marlborough, Framingham, Westborough, Hopedale and the surrounding areas and deliver the donations to Providence. Drivers must be free weekdays from 11am-4pm and will be reimbursed .45 cents per mile from the drive location to Providence and back. Please apply ASAP! Applicants must have a valid license, access to a reliable vehicle and a clean driving record.

The RI Blood Center's mission is to provide a safe and adequate blood supply for the state of Rhode Island and Southern New England.
Description
The Rhode Island Blood Center is a private, not for profit organization that collects, processes, tests, and distributes all of the blood products used in Rhode Island. We also export to neighboring communities. The sick and injured in our area need 250 pints of blood every day. Due to the time and nature of donation and testing we must also work hard to have reserves on hand for emergencies. Volunteers are an integral part of the work that we do and when you assist the blood center you are truly helping to save lives.
