Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross-Indiana Region

Help your neighbor in their greatest time of need

The American Red Cross responds to approximately 64,000 disasters a year. About 50,000 of these are single- and multi-family fires and other localized events to which Disaster Action Teams respond.

Home fires and other disasters can occur any time, any place. As a Disaster Action Team volunteer, you’ll provide emotional support, financial assistance, and information to help families begin the process of recovery.

"Zero to Hero" is a great opportunity to fast track that training in just two days:

Day 1: Saturday, March 28th (9am-5pm) *Lunch and snacks provided

Day 2: Sunday, March 29th (1pm-6pm) *Snacks provided

Both training days will occur at the American Red Cross Terre Haute Office
2800 Poplar Street, Suite 7D, Terre Haute, IN 47807

At these events, you will have the opportunity to register as a new volunteer and receive basic skills training to respond to local disasters, such as fires. You will also have the chance to interact with Red Cross staff and other volunteers to learn more about the Red Cross.

Once you have registered at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GBMT9ZN please go to redcross.org/volunteer to sign-up as a volunteer or you can sign-up at the event.

See the work that you can do as a Disaster Action Team volunteer, become a Disaster Responder!
