Regional Operations Manager
Reports To:
Chief Operating Officer
Dotted line to Director of Field Operations
Job Overview This strategic servant leadership role is responsible for driving operational success in a specific region of Celestial Manna distribution. These leadership positions will remove barriers for Field Coordinators and volunteers. They will work with the Director of Field Operations to develop and implement process standards that will create efficiencies and increase volunteer engagement. With reporting provided by the Tech team, Operations Managers will share progress and opportunities with their Field Coordinators and utilize the data to prioritize operational efforts within their regions. The successful candidate will have helped improve volunteer engagement, reporting compliance, and operational outcomes. The incumbent will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Contact calls and routing of food requests to proper coordinator
- Regional focused operations performance reports
- Interviewing and hiring Field Coordinators
- Training and Coaching Field Coordinators
- Lead and facilitate Operations huddles
- Work with coordinators and volunteers to improve reporting compliance
- Maintain pick up schedules and monitor compliance
Qualifications
The person in this position would ideally have the following qualifications:
Education level:
- Undergraduate degree in business or administration
- MBA a plus
Experience:
- Operations leadership in an organization of 10-15 employees
- Managing direct reports
- Process Improvement implementation
Specific skills:
- Google Sheets
- Google Suite (Admin level)
- Microsoft Suite
- Virtual meeting facilitation
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
Personal characteristics:
- Easily approachable
- Service-oriented
- Data focused
- Articulate

We give monthly support to more than 20,000 people in the Washington, DC metropolitan region stretching from north of Baltimore through Prince George's and Montgomery Counties Maryland, and south to northern Virginia.

Celestial Manna tries to help people from all walks of life; these individuals range from blue-collar workers, low-income families, single-parent households and diverse ethnicities. Hunger is not the only challenge these people face. In addition to a network of food redistribution, Celestial Manna provides support to people in need of clothing.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21
- Orientation or Training
- 5-10 hours per week to manage reporting and to support Volunteer Drivers and Group Coordinators in the pick-up of rescued food and delivery of that food to those in need.
- A computer with a high-speed internet connection and/or a web-capable smartphone is required. Basic knowledge and use of spreadsheets (such as MS Excel, and Google Sheets) and databases required.
