  • 1 person is interested

Rachel Coalition, a division of Jewish Family Service of MetroWest, provides a variety of services to assist victims of domestic violence and those living in high conflict households.

DVRT Volunteers provide support, information, and referrals at police headquarters and educate victims about their legal rights in obtaining Temporary Restraining Orders. Rachel Coalition in conjunction with the Safe House trains volunteers to assist victims when they call the police to report a domestic violence incident in Essex County.

Volunteers serve on an on-call shift basis in the town the reside in. Volunteers must have access to transportation and be willing to submit to a background check. Volunteers are required to complete a 40 hour training. Trainings are held every spring and fall. No experience necessary.
