Do you want to give back to the local Fairfield community by assisting older adults through random acts of kindness? Come join us this Spring (during the week of Earth Day) at the twice a year Random Acts of Kindness Affecting Local Seniors (RASKALS) event!
RASKALS volunteers have included families, youth organizations, government classes, church groups, older adults and just good neighbors.
- Volunteers will be connected to local senior citizens in need and the volunteers will receive a shopping list, a budget, and money from the client.
- We ask for the volunteers to wear gloves while picking up transporting and delivering the groceries The volunteers will not enter the senior citizens' home. We will provide you with the gloves.
- The City will provide you with a RASKALS t-shirt so the senior citizens can know who you are.
- You will start as soon as you can and you may volunteer one day a week or more.
