Mission Statement
The mission of ORLANDO CARES is to improve youth literacy and community safety in the City of Orlando by mobilizing caring citizens as volunteers to make service a part of the solution.
Description
Through ORLANDO CARES, we engage volunteers in 6 unique programs that help Central Florida youth improve their academic success, increase their literacy skills, plan viable career choices and avoid the juvenile justice system. ORLANDO CARES created volunteer opportunities that impact educational outcomes and contribute to the well-being of our community.
Orlando Cares volunteers must be 18 years or older to volunteer, fill out a City of Orlando volunteer application, and attend a one-hour training session to be scheduled with a Volunteer Coordinator.
