Teens will be learning about the importance of parks and trails in our community. After this, we will be taking a hike on a paved trail that will, in total, be one mile long. If we have time after, teens will have the chance to look in the nature center to learn more about the animals that live in our environment.
Transportation will not be provided, we will be meeting at the Heritage Park Nature Center (24915 Farmington Rd, Farmington Hills MI 48336) for check in. This will be the same location for pick up. This project will be on Sunday, March 8th from 12:30pm-2:30pm. Closed toes shoes are required for this project and I recommend bringing a water bottle since we will be walking.
The Youth Volunteer Corps is a free service-learning project for teens between the ages of 11-18 years old. If you have any questions or can not make the project anymore, please contact the YVC Program Coordinator at anna.muscatell@ymcadetroit.org.
