RECOVERY SPECIALIST
Full-time position available for high energy team player to work as a Recovery Specialist within OHEL’s Kadimah PROS. Responsibilities include maintaining a case load of 20-25 Adults with Severe Mental Illness and ensuring they successfully integrate into the community through one on one counseling and group sessions. Additionally the Recovery Specialist will be responsible for providing access to various community resources including mental and physical health professionals, rehabilitation, housing, and entitlements as well as provide crisis intervention when needed, including hospital admission and discharge support. Candidate will be required to maintain ongoing and timely documentation, program assessments, Individualized Treatment Plans and charting in accordance with OMH, Medicaid and HIPPA regulations and attend various team meetings and trainings. Strong computer, organizational and communication skills a must. A minimum of 1 year working with the mental health population and a masters in mental health is required. Limited permit holders for LMSW, LCAT, or LMHC are eligible.

The goal of the program is to integrate treatment with group therapy, support, and rehabilitation in an individualized and client-choice driven menu of clinical and educational services.

Kadimah PROS uses a focus on goal setting as a powerful process in recovery, in thinking about one’s ideal future, and to help turn motivation into reality.The process of setting goals helps develop voice and choice in where to go in life. By knowing precisely what one wants to achieve, the individual will develop a road map - an Individual Recovery Plan. Goals for individuals in the program are to: improve functioning, reduce inpatient utilization, reduce emergency services, reduce contact with the criminal justice system, increase employment, attain higher levels of education, and secure preferred housing.
