Mission Statement
The Friends of Lake Kapowsin is an association of the interested community members, id. Individuals, groups and associations, that works to fulfill the September 2016 Lake Kapowsin Aquatic Reserve Management Plan overall goals, objectives and strategies and will meet periodically in furtherance of those goals, objectives and strategies through collaborative partnerships.
Description
Our events include Lake Kapowsin Aquatic Reserve Stewardship Meetings and Community Work Parties. Annually we host a 'Lake Kapowsin Day’ at the WDFW WATER ACCESS SITE. The DNR Aquatic Program guides our Community Involvement Program. Friends of Lake Kapowsin, Puget SoundCorps team, and DNR staff and the community volunteers to help restore the riparian habitat along the shoreline of beautiful Lake Kapowsin! The work site is at the Kapowsin Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Water Access site (boat launch) at East 29405 Orville Rd E, Kapowsin, WA 98344.
