Auction Committee Chair for a fun, county-fair themed event!
ORGANIZATION: After the Harvest
Please visit the new page to apply.
We need a volunteer to help us with soliciting live and silent auction items for our county fair "uptown, down home" themed fundraiser in June. Greens&Jeans will have activity booths, a live auction, and a food and beverage section. Help is needed beginning immediately as well as the day of the event (June 13th).
The Auction Chair volunteer will work closely with the Development Director and other staff to solicit targeted items, and track progress. Help will also be needed to set-up the silent auction on the day of and to coordinate bids, check-out, etc.
Do you have prior experience or a willingness and ability to learn in a fast paced environment? Come join us! Greens&Jeans is a fun event that supports our ability to provide hungry people with healthy food. Contact mariah@aftertheharvestkc.org or 816-921-1903 for more information on how to help!
After the Harvest rescues nutritious fruits and vegetables from going to waste and donates them to agencies that serve hungry people , primarily in Greater Kansas City. Our volunteers glean after the harvest, picking what’s left in farmers’ fields and picking up already harvested leftover produce. The majority of the funds we raise helps secure semi-truckloads of donated produce that might otherwise end up in landfills. After the Harvest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the largest produce donor to Harvesters-The Community Food Network.
