We have an exciting opportunity to for you to get in volunteer hours. The Jenks Trojan Aquatic Center and the Jenks Trojan Swim Club are hosting the Western Region 4 Corners Speedo Sectionals meet here at the Jenks Trojan Aquatic Center March 19-22, 2020. We will be bringing in swimmers from all over the west coast. I think the furthest away team to register is Hawaii. Since this meet will be bringing in so many people from outside the region, this is a great opportunity for Jenks America and the surrounding areas to shine! We are looking for timers especially. This position has a front row seat to all the action. Timers will use a stop watch and an electronic button to give back up times to the electronic timing system. If timing isn’t up your ally we have shifts available in hospitality and door Marshalls. For all positions morning shifts will run from 8:00am-1:00pm and the evening shifts will run from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Snacks and drinks will be provided during your shifts. This is shaping up to be a very fast meet with lots of action. Remember this will go towards your volunteer hours.

Description
The Jenks Volunteer Program is an important part of citizenship. Since its inception in 1986, the program has grown steadily with volunteers making a difference in all aspects of the school district. Over 2,000 JPS volunteers consistently donate more than 100,000 hours of service to the students and staff in our school system. The volunteer program relies heavily on not only parental involvement, but TCC students, grandparents, retirees, and alumni as well. When you see these volunteers at your site, whether they are shelving books, helping in the lunchroom, tutoring students, or working in the office and classrooms, they are helping make an impact on all levels of student life at Jenks. Every volunteer goes through an orientation (once only), signs a contract each year that re-emphasizes our regulations and procedures, and are kept in touch of volunteer opportunities through the guidance of the District Volunteer Coordinator and the volunteer site coordiators at each Jenks school site.
