Working

  • Harvest workshares commit to working one morning a week (Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday), from 8 am to 12 pm, during the CSA season (spring, summer, and/or fall). The spring CSA share is May 21-June 17, the summer CSA share is June 19-Sept. 23, and the fall CSA share is Sept. 25-Nov. 19. As a benefit, harvesters receive a CSA share on weeks worked!
  • Harvest workshares work directly with our farmers to harvest and wash produce for the CSA. Tasks include harvesting in various fields, moving heavy bins, and weighing produce. If time permits, workshares may perform other farm work.
  • The harvest crew is a critical component to farm operations. We ask harvesters to be aware of keeping their hands moving while talking and to transition quickly between tasks. Effective harvesters allow us to get food to our members and food access partners on time, in good condition and at a rate that ensures the farm remains sustainable.
  • Workshares need to be able to lift up to 30 lbs, and work in all weather conditions.
  • We ask that workshares support our farm by becoming members through our website.
