PIONEERS OF PROGRESS: TRAILBLAZERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD
Girls and their female role models or mentors are invited to work together to solve an engineering challenge during one or all of our classroom sessions during this 1-day event. Upon entry, grab a passport and see where innovation takes you!

Girls ages 7 and older, accompanied by an adult.
There will be pop-up activities in the museum throughout the day from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Volunteers will be asked to help facilitate educational pop-up activities.

Description
Discovery Lab is an educational resource for Tulsa providing outreach museum classes to area schools and organizations, and as a field trip destination to over 20,000 students each year. Exhibits and programming encourage the development of executive function and process skills, including critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Educational content focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), and health and wellness, and complements and supplements current school curriculum. Studies show that hands-on, informal learning experiences, like those delivered by Discovery Lab, impact reading readiness and school success.
