The Heart Ball is an elegant celebration of life, with proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association. The evening celebrates: our work, mission, donors, volunteers, and most importantly the lives saved and improved because of everyone's effort.

Help us make the 2019 Rochester Heart Ball a huge success!

Friday, July 17th - SET-UP Morning and daytime hours

  • Prepare programs and registration area
  • Place signage
  • Place table numbers/names and favors on tables

Friday, July 17th - HEART BALL evening - during event

Volunteers needed for the following...

  • Registration Training / early evening volunteer orientation 3:30pm; We will train and organize the registration volunteers and walk through the evening with those that will be working on different jobs throughout the evening
  • Registration (5pm - 7pm); Greet and check in guests on computerized system - training provided, please be comfortable using a computer and confident in learning the check in process on a computer.
  • Mission experiences - manage an AHA mission area, share information
  • Greeters (5pm - 7:30pm); Welcome and assist guests as they arrive or in other areas of the event. Outgoing and approachable is a must.
  • Live Auction Volunteers (5pm - 10 pm); Assist in maintaining the auction items and keep organized for check out. "Spot" the auctioneer to see bidders. assist check out.
  • Special Appeal Volunteers (7:00pm - 10:00pm); During the "live, auction-style" donation call, you will have assigned tables/areas to record bidder numbers and donation amount.
  • Photo area assistants; 2 photo areas, one formal photo area (5pm - 7:30pm) and one fun "photo booth" area (5pm - 11pm)
  • Silent Auction; Set-up, manage and maintain silent auction area, assisting guests as needed and closing out auction bidding as directed. (5pm - 10pm)
  • Clean-up; Help clean up all AHA belongings post event (10pm - 11:30pm)
