Seeking those who are able to speak Spanish and English for communication with patients and their families as well as staff. We provide companionship and socialization to our patients and their families and want to be able to provide service that the patient would enjoy.
Our opportunities include office help, working with patients one on one and working with facilities to provide community activity involvement.
Office staff helps with phones, filing and various other duties
Facility help includes working with Activity directors to paint nails, call Bingo and other games, art and crafts, helping serve meals, and other things as they are needed.
Patient one one one visits, might include painting their nails, helping decorate their rooms, some light housekeeping, maybe some light meal prep, writing letters or cards, reading to them, watching TV with the patient.
Remember patients are terminally ill, so we want to provide comfortable and safe activities to do, just because the are terminal does not mean they want to do nothing!

Description
Providing care and comfort to patients. Opportunities include direct patient visitation and administrative support. We provide feedback to schools for volunteer credit. We provide internships for those in nursing and social work. Travel will be limited, with the exception of internships, which may be only to visit different sites. Our goal is to provide companionship as well as socialization to those who express desire to have a volunteer visit. Our scope of activities may be limitless, we help with light housekeeping, running errands, helping with activities, quiet time to reflect and hear life experiences.

- Weekly commitment to assignment, being able to get to and from assignments. Orientation and training, interviews, computer skills, being able to complete task sheets and return them.
- TB testing (2 step), this is paid by our company, if you have not had a TB test in the last 12 months, Car insurance, clean driving record, pass a background check. Must be 18 or over to work one on one with a patient in a private home.
