Do you have availability in the mornings?
Are you interested in volunteering with children once a week?
Our teaching artists could use your help in the theater classrooms! Work side by side with our teaching artists by helping prepare materials for our students, set-up and clean-up the classroom, guide the students with their characters, lines, and props and other projects, as a part of their arts education and curriculum, and most importantly, have fun!
Our students are preparing for their next performance and really need your help! So if you have interest in working with theater students, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved in the community! Our students speak English and Spanish in their productions! So Spanish speaking volunteers are really helpful!
TB tests and background checks are required for this volunteer opportunity. (Paid for by P.S. ARTS)

About P.S. ARTS
Location:

Mission Statement
P.S. ARTS’ mission is to improve the lives of children by providing arts education to underserved public schools and communities.
Description
P.S. ARTS is the only organization in Southern and Central California that provides yearlong arts education in dance, visual arts, music, and theater arts to every child in a school during the regular school day. Without our programs, children in these underfunded school districts would not have access to the arts. P.S. ARTS also coordinates with school administrators and parent groups to provide community outreach services designed to increase community members’ capacity to advocate for educational equity and to provide critical cultural experiences for the entire family. P.S. ARTS arts programs help to level the educational playing field by teaching creative and cognitive skills to students struggling to overcome economic, ability, or literacy barriers that will better equip them to be competitive and successful people.
