Bringing joy to youth who need personal connections. Our youth in care who live at the Renaissance Care Center have profound disabilities and are alone. Coming in once a week to read a book or listen to some music, hold their hand and offer to them the human contact that we all need would be so appreciated. Can do this after 3PM on the weekdays and at any time on the weekend with a set schedule so staff know you will be there.

Mission Statement

Our mission statement reflects the belief in the enduring strength, creativity, and perseverance of the human and community spirit to respond to and resolve life challenges.

The Center for Youth and Family Solutions engages and serves children and families in need with dignity, compassion, and respect by building upon individual and community strengths to resolve life challenges together.

The same core values that guided us during the creation of The Center for Youth and Family Solutions will be our benchmarks and beacons of hope as we partner with children and families and communities from all walks of life in solving the challenges in the family life cycle in modern society. Collaboration; partnership; sharing a common goal; belief in the strength of the human spirit; treating all with dignity, compassion, and respect; and achieving excellence.

In every situation, we focus on the innate strengths of all people we work with, we treat everyone with dignity, compassion and respect, and we demonstrate that with the right support and resources all people can achieve solutions in their lives.

Who We Are

The Center for Youth and Family Solutions is a comprehensive not-for-profit social service agency providing strength-based, family-centered services to youth and families in need throughout Central Illinois and Eastern Iowa.

Our Programs & Services

We offer critical counseling, casework, and support services to assist those whose lives have been touched by trauma, grief and loss, abuse and neglect, and other significant family life challenges. Our programs include: foster care services for abused and neglected children; adoption services; crisis response for runaways and their families; delinquency prevention services for at-risk youth; residential treatment for abused and neglected boys; professional counseling for children, individuals, couples, and families; in-home counseling for seniors; mental health crisis response for youth; and community advocacy programs. We serve over 20,000 individuals annually in 37 counties.

What Makes Us Unique

Our staff are expertly trained in best practice social work family systems intervention which is a respectful, collaborative, and outcomes driven approach. We do not treat our clients as if they are sick, or victims, or blame them, or as if we need to fix them. We see our clients as having innate strengths and the ability to resolve problems. It is our role to compassionately partner with individuals and families facing life challenges, and to hold them and ourselves accountable as we work together to reach their goals and create positive change. We are dedicated to providing programs and interventions that work and we demonstrate the effectiveness of our services by measuring and sharing our outcomes with stakeholders. We meet or exceed all industry standard outcomes in our programs.

We hope you enjoy learning more about our agency and programs as you explore our website. Please feel free to contact us for more information about any of our services or to find out how you can join us in our mission.
