Want to have fun and create real change?
Uhuru Foods & Pies is looking for volunteers to come help out at the annual Black Joy Parade in our outdoor food booth on Sunday, January 23rd in Oakland, CA. We are offering our delicious African comfort food menu including: jerk chicken both real and vegan, fried plantains, and sweet potato pie! No experience is necessary and we will train you while you’re onsite!
Uhuru Foods & Pies is one of the institutions of Black Star Industries and it is about creating an independent economy by and for African people.
The following shifts are available for volunteering in our food booth on Sunday, January 23rd.
- from 7:00 am - 2:00pm
- from 1pm - 8:00pm
