ORGANIZATION: The Crisis Clinic of Thurston and Mason Counties

We are a local non-profit that has been providing free, anonymous and confidential 24 hour crisis phone services to callers in the community. Crisis Clinic Phone Line Volunteers complete a sixty hour comprehensive training which prepares them to provide emotional support as well as community resource referrals to anonymous callers.

To qualify for the training, you must turn in a completed application (on our site), have an in-person interview, and be able to commit to the entire weekend, the workshops, plus one 4-hour weekly phone room training shift.

We provide compassionate support and resources to empower those in crisis every hour of every day.

Description

The Crisis Clinic provides a 24-hour centralized service to anyone who calls, offering crisis intervention and emotional support, as well as information and referral to appropriate resources using our database of community referrals. Since 1972, the Crisis Clinic has been there for people in need. Seven days a week, 365 days a year, there's always someone who cares. That person could be you.
