ORGANIZATION: GOODWILL OF THE FINGER LAKES, INC.

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes mission is to prepare and empower people with barriers to independence to be self-sufficient and contribute to their families and communities. We are seeking a volunteer archivist to help us digitize our history in Rochester.

VOLUNTEER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

Re-housing, labeling, alphabetizing, and re-sleeving of documents and/or photographs.

Taking photographs of large objects

Scanning documents and/or photographs.

Photocopying and filing

Data entry

Be able to work independently

Headquartered in Rochester, NY Goodwill of the Finger Lakes remains a caring, local, person-centered nonprofit organization that does a lot of good across Greater Rochester, Central New York, and the Finger Lakes Region Communities.

Our unique social enterprise is comprised of over 700 individuals who use their passion and expertise to find innovative solutions to address the countless barriers and social challenges that impact the lives of more than 200,000 people whom we are proud to serve annually. Through our community impact programs including but not limited to Goodwill Vision Enterprises (formally known as ABVI), 211/LIFE LINE, 988, Workforce Development, and our Good Neighbor Program; we create employment opportunities for people with barriers to independence while generating revenue to support our community programs and services.

Our doors are always open to welcome anyone who needs our services or those who are curious to learn more about our purpose and impact.
