Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois

Approximately one in every two adult women (49%) in the United States has-at some point-been a member of Girl Scouts. There are currently 59 million Girl Scout alums living here in the U.S.

If you were a Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, Ambassador, or an adult volunteer-you were a Girl Scout! Remember, once a Girl Scout, always a Girl Scout!

Sign up here to join the Girl Scout Network of Northern Illinois. As an alum, you’ll receive the quarterly e-newsletter which includes stories about our alums and what they’re up to, as well as opportunities to reconnect at alum events and volunteer for GSNI.

Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

Description

Come help us make our future leaders as we have been doing since 1912! We ARE the premiere organization for Girls Everywhere! The Girl Scout Program is girl-driven, reflecting the ever-changing needs and interests of today's girls. Girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Girls learn the importance of personal responsibility, the value of goal-setting, the spirit of teamwork, and the thrill of accomplishment.
Girl Scouting is for every girl, everywhere---where today's girls can become tomorrow's leaders. Membership in Girl Scouts is open to girls in grades K-12th; women and men over 18 can join as adult members with a completed adult application and background check.
