We are a hospice in the San Diego area in need of volunteers for companionship care. Here at Elite, our patients, their families and their caregivers are an integral part of the team, and we are looking for volunteers with a good head and a compassionate heart to become a part of our team.
Our direct care volunteers work directly in the residences of our patients. This can include visiting, reading, taking walks, writing letters, interpreting for those who do not speak English, bringing in music, and supervising therapeutic visits with pets. Volunteers with necessary certification can also provide massage therapy, energy therapy (Reiki), aroma therapy or therapeutic touch.
