enthusiasm. Get to know all the ways we Do Science by being part of the team.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
VolunTeens must be at least 13 years old by June 1 and entering 8th grade or higher in the
2020-2021 school year. Teens must be able to volunteer one day a week for 8 weeks from
June-August. VolunTeens may miss no more than 2 of the 8 weeks due to family vacations,

WHAT DO VOLUNTEENS DO?
VolunTeens are an integral part of the Science Center team and interact with visitors throughout
the museum. Teens have the opportunity to work with educators in the exhibit halls, assist with
School’s Out Science Camps, and facilitate movies in our 4-story digital theater.
WHEN DO VOLUNTEENS WORK?
Summer teens volunteer one day a week, Monday through Saturday (the same day each week),
from 10:00A.M.-4:00 P.M. During the school year, teens are required to volunteer 20 hours on
weekends and during school breaks to be considered for the following summer program.
VolunTeens must also be committed to checking email regularly.
