Positive Wellness Alliance Food Pantry strives to alleviate food insecurity in the Forsyth Community. It starts with our wonderful volunteers!

We have positions available Monday-Friday.

Monday : (9:00 am - 1:00 pm) Volunteers will help load and unload the van with donated items from Lowe's Foods and Food Lion. Volunteers will then stock the donated items after they have been weighed and recorded.

Tuesday: (9:00 am - 2:00 pm) Volunteers will help load and unload the van with donated items from Lowe's Foods, Food Lion, and Second Harvest. Volunteers will then stock the donated items after they have been weighed and recorded.

Wednesday: (9:30 am - 12:00 pm) During our normal distribution hours for walk-ins only! Volunteers will fill the food pantry guest's food box with the necessary items. Volunteers will also help clients transport food boxes to their vehicle if needed.

Wednesday Afternoon: (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm) During the afternoon, volunteers will continue to fill food boxes with the necessary items for food box deliveries.

Thursday: (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm) Volunteers will food box delivery orders for that day.

Friday: (10:00 am - 12:00 pm) Volunteers will food box delivery orders for that day.


*Volunteers need to be punctual, able to lift 30-45 lbs and have reliable transportation.

Mission Statement

The mission of Positive Wellness Alliance is provide services and support to people infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS through case management, outreach, and preventive education in Davidson, Forsyth, Yadkin and Davie counties.

Description

The case management program assists clients by ensuring they are in medical care, provides transportation, assists with medication costs, and provides emergency financial assistance with rent and utilities. People must be able to provide proof that they are HIV+. We sponsor different activities throughout the year for our clients, their families and their significant others. We also provide HIV preventive education to the general public.
