Moms of Black Boys United for Social Change is seeking an intern to help in the areas of Membership and Chapter Development and overall organizational Operations and Administration. The organization is growing and needs someone to help with member and chapter leader ongoing communications/follow-up and general project management. Reporting directly to the Founder & President of the organization, the responsibilities include:
- Outreach to new members to welcome them and connect to a local chapter and/or national committee
- Updating members and subscribers on an ongoing basis about organizational activities via e-blasts, social media posts, and personal outreach
- Supporting chapter leaders in planning and reporting of local events by sending documents, materials and anything else needed to ensure a successful event and collecting and storing post-event reports
- Setting up national and local events online on the website and monitoring registration
- Creating project trackers and summarizing organizational activities for grant applications and general reporting
- Other skills needed: Proficient in Graphic design, Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel and Word), ability to run meetings using Zoom and FreeConferenceCall, and excellent communication skills both verbal and written
