Cancer Support Community Arizona's Volunteer Orientation's & Training's are specifically designed for those who already know they want to volunteer with Cancer Support Community Arizona but want to learn where we need the help.
Examples of Volunteer Positions Include:
- Outreach Ambassadors - Tabling Events, Employee Fairs, Health Fairs, Community Fairs
- Fundraising Events -Setup/Breakdown, Security, Parking, Bartenders, Table Escorts
- Corporate Groups -Days of Service, Corporate Wellness, Event Support
- Front Desk/Admin -Gatekeeper, Thank you Cards, All incoming calls
- Hospital - St. Joe’s/Dignity, BUMC
- Program Facilitators-Yoga, Tai Chi, String Art, Men’s Socials, Facilitators
- Maintenance - Changing air filters, sweeping, windows,
- Greta's Garden - Gardening, garden clean up, roses, planting, fertilizing
- Phone - Data Verification, Thank you callers, Attendance
Qualifications:
- Ability to remain confidential during the volunteer service
- Must be respectful, self-motivated and display professionalism
- Have customer service orientation
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and participants
- Dependability
Requirements for CSCAZ:
- Complete application / background check
- Interview
- Complete in-person orientation and training

Description
Cancer Support Community Arizona provides the only comprehensive Program of psychosocial services to people diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones in the state of Arizona. Our Program offers Emotional Support Services, Healthy Lifestyle Activities, Educational Seminars, Social Connections and Resources and Referral. Our services are evidence-based, professionally facilitated and provided at no cost to our participants. Through participation in our Program, people affected by cancer learn vital skills that enable them to regain control, reduce isolation and restore hope regardless of the stage of disease.
