Kindred Hospice is looking for volunteers to help out in our Auburndale office for a few hours, weekly or bi-weekly. Great opportunity for someone who works part time, retired or students. Must be at least 16 years old.

While working with our administrative team you may assist with: special craft project (inspirational boards for patients), filing, assembling packets, assisting with mailings, answering phones, unpacking supplies. If you are friendly, organized and reliable this may be the volunteer opportunity for you! Volunteers make their own schedule and confirm the dates with the Volunteer Coordinator.

Background check and drug screen are required, however costs are covered by our company!

VOLUNTEERING WITH HOSPICE

Volunteering takes no advanced medical training or great commitment. It can be as simple as reading to, or spending time with a patient a few hours a week. It is small deeds of kindness that so profoundly enhance the lives of our patients and those who love them.

There are many kinds of Hospice volunteers. Our volunteers include individuals, families, businesses, youth and school groups, civic organizations and churches. Volunteer candidates go through interview and screening processes to ensure the safety of our patients and their families. All hospice volunteers are given assignments that best suit their time, skills and interests.

Our volunteers are trained and supported in the skills they need for the volunteer role. Training includes scheduled sessions, individual training and on-site training.
