ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross of Missouri and Arkansas

Work as part of a team conducting research and writing, providing thorough analysis on relevant International
Humanitarian Law (IHL) issues, and working to support and strengthen the team's IHL programs.
Purpose:
Responsibilities: Willingness to support the Red Cross Mission
Support the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) team's educational programs and courses
Assist with planning educational events
Perform background research and compile updates on IHL issues
Communicate with members of the IHL community
Monitor social media
Assist with general administrative tasks and note-taking with other possible duties as assigned
Time Commitment: Based on mutual agreement between volunteer and IHL leader
Qualifications: Successfully complete Red Cross background check and on-boarding
Background in international law or policy
Strong interest in international law and humanitarian values
Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong research computer skills
Work independently, highly organized, detail orientated, able to handle multiple tasks at the same time and
work well under deadline pressure
