Put your Superhero powers to the test and join our passionate professional team of Hospice Volunteers. Our Volunteer Department will provide you an engaging, empowering training to prepare you to serve in something bigger than yourself.

Be a Superhero to our in-home patients and families throughout their journey. Our Volunteer Department carefully matches you to a hospice patient and/or family based on personality, location closest to your home, and availability. We even have the Social Worker go with you on your first visit to make a warm introduction (and to make sure your invisible cape is operational).

Your mission is to provide a calming presence, go on peaceful walks, or just provide companionship. You can also watch tv, play cards or board games if the patient wants you to. You can also provide relief care for the caregiver, and offer your time so they can get some much-needed relaxation.

Your presence as a valued guest to those we are fortunate to serve can easily be arranged around your busy schedule. Volunteers are asked to give of their time 1-2 hours per week if you can if not 2-4 hours per month, it is completely up to you. We ask that you document your visit within a 48 hours period after the visit is completed.

We encourage you to take on the challenge of being a Hospice Superhero, or Pet Visit Volunteer we guarantee rewards.

  • Please email the Volunteer Manager Veronica Palomino, USAF Veteran vpalomino@sehealth.com or call (215) 341-4515, I will reach out to you in a timely manner, we are eager to get you your invisible cape.
