Make a Difference in Someone’s Life

Sonder's volunteers serve an essential role in caring for people facing serious illness. In partnership with our staff, volunteers support patients and their families through companionship, alternative support services, administrative and community support and more. They are unpaid, yet priceless. If you want to make a real and lasting difference in someone's life, we would be grateful for your compassionate gift of time.

Because hospice patients have unique end-of-life needs, Sonder seeks volunteers from all backgrounds, experiences and cultures. We’re particularly interested in volunteers who understand the hospice philosophy and who embrace the importance of quality of life at the end of life.

Volunteers serve patients in a variety of ways, including patient/family support, bereavement support, community education, patient communication, social media management, and/or administrative support. Volunteer opportunities include in-person, virtual, and hybrid options. We will help match you with a volunteer opportunity that best compliments your skills.
