Southeastern Hospice makes a difference every day helping those at the end of life and their families. Giving back by giving the gift of their time. Southeastern Hospice provides a special form of care for the people during their last months of life by focusing on adding quality to this time. Patient Care Volunteers are valued members of the Southeastern Health and Hospice team, and help in a variety of ways:
- Listening as a patient shares memories, feelings, fears
- Filling in to give the family caregiver a short needed break
- Telephoning patients and families to offer reassurance and comfort
- Providing kind caring and compassionate presence to the patient
