Deliver meals to the homebound elderly and disbabled.
As a volunteer you would be the highlight of a frail elderly persons day...a smiling face, a hot meal, helping them to remain in their homes.
Deliver hot, nutrious meals 3 to 5 times a month to homebound elderly and disabled. Volunteer would deliver the same route each time so that they would get to know the people. This assignment takes approximately 1 - 1 1/2 hours each time. This is a mid-day lunchtime meal.
Terms:Volunteer must be at least 55 years of age. A vehicle, drivers license, and maintain the required state minimum auto insurance.

The mission of RSVP of Clinton County is to promote the engagement of individual’s age 55 and better to contribute to their communities through significant volunteer service, to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers, and to provide communities with valuable services to meet the unmet community needs.
Description
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a nationwide volunteer program for individuals 55 and older. RSVP of Clinton County connects volunteers with other area service agencies, special events, and programs to meet the needs of the community.
RSVP of Clinton County serves all of Clinton County including; Andover, Calamus, Camanche, Charlotte, Clinton, Dewitt, Delmar, Goose Lake, Grand Mound, Lost Nation, Low Moor, Toronto, Welton, and Wheatland.
RSVP of Clinton County is a non-profit organization and is a part of Senior Corps. Senior Corps is administered by the Corporation for National & Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that improves lives, strengthens communities, and fosters civic engagement through service and volunteering. RSVP is locally sponsored by Mobile Meals United, Inc. RSVP is partially funded by the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service (ICVS) and the Clinton County Board of Supervisors. RSVP also depends on local community donations.
