Volunteer for the 25th Anniversary of Award-winning Theater Program for Homeless Children - RSVP for 2/8, 2/22, 3/3, 3/7, 3/10 Info Session!


Volunteer for The Builders of the New World, an award-winning after-school theater-arts education program that has helped thousands of children over the last 25 years. BNW teaches children an education vision of opening up their imagination to look into the future and the tangible steps they must take to make that wonderful vision a reality.


Join us as a volunteer Mentor and Program Assistant in delivering this heartfelt program and be a part of this very meaningful revolutionary process. You will be given classes to train and interact with children using an innovative original creative technique founded by this theater.


BNW is an award-winning programs that has been endorsed by successive mayors, from Mayors David Dinkins to Bill De Blasio, as well as the city council.


One of the most profound longings of individuals is to share the essence of themselves because when we do, we plant an eternalness on earth. Please come and participate in this glorious opportunity to teach and develop these young children.


Submit an application and be interviewed to join our program!

NEXT STEPS: Complete this Application, https://www.actorstheatreworkshop.com/get-involved/volunteer-application-form/ . We will then schedule you for a 15 minute phone interview. Upon successful completion of the interview, you will be invited to an information and training session on 2/8, 2/22, 3/7 or 3/28.


At this session you’ll gain a clearer understanding of our program, your role as a participant, and the uplifting, rewarding experience you will have. You will also have an in-depth training directly from our Artistic Director on how to teach this award-winning technique he has created for this program.


Due to the high number of applicants, we will extend the info session so as to interview all our attendants. You may also RSVP for an info session at outreach@actorstheatreworkshop.com and plan ample time to complete the application and interview process in person.

Description

Founded over two decades ago, the Actors Theatre Workshop is an established pioneer in non-profit theatre that produces classical and contemporary plays, develops new dramatic works, trains and develops actors, directors and writers while making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth and the community at large. Thurman E. Scott, ATW's artistic director, Executive Producer and Founder, is a widely acknowledged expert of artistic project development, an innovator of award-winning arts curriculums and programs for proffessional artistic training, and has a long and successful history of public service to culturaly under-served communities.
