Are you 55+? Stay Active and Engaged! Join RSVP and be a volunteer for our Stay Connected Program for seniors thorough-out the tri-county area, Serving Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito Counties

The Stay Connected Program connects caring folks age 55 and up to one another to help each other keep connected on Social and Practical Topics through individual phone calls, conference calls, video chats, you name it, whatever works for you.

The Stay Connected Program is one of the new programs in RSVP, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Its designed to be an ongoing staying-connected program of outreach to local seniors for both Social and Practical Purposes, could be as simple as a friendly social call, or could more informative with up to date local information and services that we will first share with you.

As a volunteer, you would learn from us the new information of local interest periodically, and then you would reach out via phone to others to share that info - a win-win! For instance, one practical segment could be to outreach to seniors to help them with Emergency Response Preparedness in Santa Cruz County. We’d mail you the packet that the participant will get, email you your specific outreach info, then we would notify you when the next training will be. It will be a zoom or call-in training, 60-90 minutes long. Then you'd make some calls.

Think you might be interested? We hope so! You can do only Social calls if you want, or only Practical calls, or whichever also interest you! There’s no commitment needed for time or number of calls, so you can try it out if you’d like.
