Great opportunity for Pre-Med and Medical Students to provide direct patient care and support. Also, gain knowledge and experience in hospice care.

As a Hospice Patient Volunteer, you would provide the patient with socialization, companionship, and emotional support. But most of all, be available for patient with terminal diagnosis.

Many Pre-Med and Medical Students who have volunteered with us, have found the experience to be invaluable and rewarding. They cited the ability to develop their bedside manners, build ongoing patient relationships, understand the death and dying process, learn to interact with comorbidities such dementia/Alzheimer's Disease, be in a clinical environment, etc.

Volunteers are assigned to patients close to their home, work, or school.

Kindred Hospice serves the Portland Metropolitan Area. Our office is located at 4500 Kruse Way, Suite 100, Lake Oswego, OR 97035.
