Volunteering for hospice allows for someone to make a difference in someone’s life. The value of volunteers cannot be overstated. The relationship provides a feeling of normality for patients as well as patients families and friends.

The types of help someone can provide is numerous. It may involve just the simple act of sitting with someone too provide companionship. It could be getting groceries for someone or walking a dog for someone. It could be providing visits with your per or giving a service like a haircut or music performance.

Any help no mater how small can be impactful for the ones that we serve.

Our services enable the patient to stay in the comfort of their own "home" environment, whether that be a private home, assisted living or a long-term care facility. The Dunes Hospice team makes regularly scheduled visits to ensure quality delivery of care to maintain comfort and dignity during the end-of-life journey.

Our dedicated team of physicians, licensed nurses, certified assistants. social workers, chaplains and registered dietitians work in collaboration with the patient and family to develop an individualized plan of care centered around the patient's wishes.
