March 14, 2020 is the 37th Annual St. Patrick’s 5K Run presented by RunnersWorld Tulsa. This race has a history of being one of the top 5K races in Oklahoma, and has a tradition of kicking off the racing season for runners in Oklahoma. Last year’s race attracted more than 2,100 runners and we need YOUR help to keep it running smoothly!
Throughout the day, we will need help with the following:
- Setup
- Registration
- Water Tables
- Food Tables
- Beer Trailer (Volunteers must be over 21)
- Water Stop (Located at the BOK branch near 33rd and Peoria)
- Race Timing
- Kids Zone
- Cleanup

Mission Statement
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities [mental retardation], giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitnesss, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in as sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Description
Special Olympics Oklahoma develops and administers a year-round training and competition program throughout the state offering approximately 100 competition events each year. Competition is offered in 15 sports for athletes 8 years of age and above.
Special Olympics is a volunteer driven organization. Volunteers come from corporations, businesses, civic organizations, schools, churches, and individuals. The majority of volunteers assist in the running of our competitions; from organizing athletes, to timing & measuring, to presenting awards.
From time to time volunteers are needed at Special / Fundraising events.
