Overview
The Y in Central Maryland is partnering with FIRST LEGO League to bring an opportunity for 250 Baltimore City students to participate STEM and robotics activities. Teams from all over Baltimore City will come together to put their hard work to the test. They will be judged in three categories: their core values, their robot design and the project they have worked on as a team.
Goals
FLL provides students ages 9-14 with a hands-on, interactive robotics program in a sports-like atmosphere. Teams of up to 10 players focus on team building, problem solving, creativity, and analytical thinking to develop solutions to a problem currently facing the world - the Challenge.
Volunteer roles:
Set-up crew, Core Values Judge, Referee, Floater, Practice Table Assistant, Field Resetter, Asst. Field Coordinator
