Do you consider yourself a bit more introverted? Having difficulty with finding the right volunteer opportunity? Or perhaps you just enjoy people's company more than the conversation that's carried. If you can sit comfortably in silence, this may be a great fit for you.
We are looking for unique individuals who can spend time with our non-verbal residents. While they don't have the ability to discuss their rich stories and backgrounds with you... sometimes their eyes can say it all. Some of our residents enjoy sensory items such as glittery bottles, textured toys, stuffed animals, and so on. Others just prefer to hold your hand while they observe what's happening around them. Most everyone enjoys listening to the music they've enjoyed all their lives. We all interact differently with the world-just because some of us don't talk doesn't mean we don't want to be around others.
Contact us and we can set up a time to meet!
